About Me
My name is Sean, and I'm a personal trainer from Nottingham, UK.
I have almost 10 years of experience coaching people both on the gym floor and online, during which time I've helped 100's of people reach their fitness goals.
I primarily work with people who want to get strong, gain muscle, and - as a result - feel more confident in themselves. I've always taken a performance-first approach with my clients, and it still brings me joy when I see someone start to realise just what their body is capable of.
I’ve seen which strategies have worked really well over a large sample size of clients, and I’ve put them all into practice in my signature "Big & Strong" program, which focuses on developing strength in the squat, bench press and deadlift, while also building a physique that looks as strong as it is.
My Story
I was never particularly athletic as a kid. Until my mid 20’s in fact, I spent my time mostly playing video games and eating a diet comprised almost entirely of burgers and cookies. One day I decided enough was enough; it was time to get myself in shape.
My gym story nearly ended literally five minutes after it started, when I suffered an anxiety attack during my first time using an exercise bike. But, I pulled myself together and tried again the next day. And the day after. And before long, I had built a positive relationship with exercise, developing some good habits along the way.
Unfortunately, I proceeded to spend the next few years at the gym making a ton of beginner mistakes, jumping from program to program, and generally spinning my wheels. I had no clear goals to work towards, and exercise in general became incredibly frustrating for me.
That's when I discovered powerlifting. It gave me a crystal clear focus on getting as strong as possible and it's no exaggeration to say this mental shift was life-changing for me. Now I feel bigger and stronger than ever, free from injury, and in the best health of my life.
I use all of this first-hand experience to make sure my clients don't make any of the same mistakes that I did. You get to make all the same progress that I've made, in a fraction of the time.
